“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you,” declares the LORD. Jeremiah 29:11-14aThese words were spoken to the prophet Jeremiah about the coming Babylonian captivity facing the nation of Israel because of their disobedience in turning away from God. God knew the plans He had for them and they were good plans. God is good and intends only good things for us. His plans will give us hope and a future. He desires that we seek Him with all our heart and call upon Him in prayer. Does that describe you? Do you seek God and call out to Him in prayer? He promises He will be found. Jesus said, “For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.” Matthew 7:8 Are you seeking God with open eyes, looking for Him in your life? Are you talking with Him in prayer, believing He will answer? Know for certain that God has good plans for you. Seek Him and you will be find Him. Be amazed and humbled at the wonderful things God has planned for you.
